Chinese private textile company Challenge Apparels Limited wants to establish a garment manufacturing facility in Lahore, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing recently told Abdul Razak Dawood, adviser to the prime minister on commerce, textile, industries, production and investment, who assured all government assistance to the company.

Founded in 2014, Faisalabad-based Challenge Apparels operates as a subsidiary of Shanghai Challenge Textile Co. Ltd.

Pro-investment initiatives, restructuring of the taxation system and ease of doing business would greatly help promote investment and exports from Pakistan, Dawood told Yao in Islamabad.

Dawood briefed the ambassador about the various reforms being undertaken by the government, according to Pakistani media reports. (DS)
