Fitlosophy, an innovative line of fitness-inspired lifestyle products founded by entrepreneur Angela Mader in 2008, is being taken over by C R Gibson, a CSS Industries company. Fitlosophy is devoted to creating, marketing, and distributing unique products that inspire people to develop healthy habits by focusing on effective goal-setting through journaling.

C R Gibson has a 140-year history as a leading manufacturer of consumer products that preserve, create and celebrate memories, now expanding its noteworthy reach into the health and wellness space with Fitlosophy’s inclusion.

The strategic acquisition marks an important turning point in Fitlosophy’s decade-long history. Over the past ten years, Angela, Fitlosophy’s founder and chief fitlosopher, has organically grown the business from a single-product idea (fitbook) to a lifestyle brand with a complete line of fitness and wellness planning products with placement in over 16,000 stores nationwide, including major retailers like Target, Walgreens and CVS in the United States, with products available internationally, as well as online via Amazon and Fitlosophy’s website.

“With a proven track record working with CR Gibson for 3 years, early on we saw success as a licensing partner,” said Mader. “I was repeatedly impressed with the attention to detail, the pace of innovation, and the ability of the C R Gibson team to bring my vision to reality with the utmost care for the brand.”

C R Gibson will continue to design, market, distribute and sell products under the Fitlosophy, live life fit, and fitbook brands. Mader will serve as vice president, Fitlosophy Brands, heading the company’s design and marketing team from their office located in Newport Beach, California.
