German sports goods and sportswear retailer Puma is upbeat of the Indian market, a few months after getting FDI approval for single brand retail and ecommerce. The retailer expects women's products, running and sports style collections to drive growth in the future, with new innovations and new product launches to be the growth drivers, going forward.

Puma which currently operates 350 stores in 110 cities, recorded net sales at Rs 878 crore in 2015, a 14 per cent year over year increase.
Ganguly also informed that Puma has reported huge success in India in a very short time and so, while they have expanded the retail network, they have not done so mindlessly. (AR)
