Indian reusable diaper brand Superbottoms is developing reusable cloth face masks and is offering those to hospitals and other essential service providers in Mumbai on a no-profit basis. These reusable masks, made of 100 per cent cotton fabric, have a pocket that can be used to insert a non-woven fabric as a filter. These are not a replacement for N95 masks.

The brand is getting a lot of requests for these masks, which can be washed in hot water every 24 hours or when wet with thorough cleaning to ensure safety and hygiene.

The company is now ramping up its supply, according to a report in a top English-language newspaper.
