According to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro, India exported apparel worth $4,391.230 million during January-March 2024. The United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Spain were ahead of the Netherlands in this trade.
India’s garment exports to the Netherlands were 25.55 per cent higher than the $166.346 million shipment in the corresponding period last year. The Netherlands’ share was 4.07 per cent of India’s total garment exports of $14.478 billion in 2023, when the shipment to the partner country was valued at $589.709 million. The Netherlands stood in sixth place in this trade last year.
As per TexPro, India has improved its ranking to sixth position among the Netherlands' top ten garment suppliers during the first quarter of this year. The Netherlands imported garments worth $3.852 billion during this period. India’s share was 3.96 per cent of the Netherlands' total garment imports in the same period.
Last year, India was ranked as the ninth-largest supplier in the Netherlands' total apparel imports, which were valued at $18.621 billion. India’s share was 3.23 per cent of the total garment imports.
