Hbc thrills to sponsor Canadian Paralympic Team uniforms

Largest retailer Hudson's Bay Company (Hbc) announced at its 336th Annual General Meeting that it will design the Paralympic team uniforms for the next eight years. “Hbc is thrilled to be an official sponsor for our Canadian Paralympic Teams,” said George Heller, President and CEO, Hbc. “As the official uniform designer and supplier for Canadian Paralympic teams, this announcement means all of our Canadian athletes (Olympic, Paralympic & Commonwealth) will be consistently showcased on the world stage. Our talented team of designers and product developers are already hard at work creating the Paralympic team uniforms for the 2006 Games in Torino.” Highlights of the eight-year partnership include: • Hbc designing and supplying the Canadian Paralympic Teams uniforms for the 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 Paralympic Games, and the 2007 and 2011 Para Panamerican Games • Hbc will develop exclusive Canadian Paralympic Team retail merchandise that will only be available at “Hbc Olympic Theme Shops” located at all Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters and Designer Depot stores; and • Hbc will conduct fundraising activities in support of Paralympic Teams The agreement with the CPC is valued at over $2 million dollars “CPC is proud that Hbc joins an exclusive group of premier Canadian companies as Official Paralympic Team sponsor.
