Michigan garment sector to invite Turkey investors

With an aim to increase jobs in the region, garment industry of Michigan State in the US is inviting investments from Turkey.
Representatives of the Michigan Garment Industry Council (MGIC) will be visiting Turkey on an eight-day trip, during which they also plan to attend Istanbul Fashion Week.
Accompanied with Michigan government officials, MGIC members will meet Turkish investors and businesses during their visit.
The delegation headed by Nurten Ural, Michigan's Consul General for Turkey, will discuss plans to boost the State's garment sector and connect it with global apparel industry.
Michigan produces apparels and fibres. It also manufactures linens that are used in hospital and hotel industry. The State is currently acquiring global recognition due to new garment manufacturing units coming up, particularly in and around Detroit area.
