Indian brand Camaro Jeans plans to enter womenswear space

Camaro Jeans, which is primarily a menswear brand, is all set to launch its women’s apparel line in the Spring-Summer 2013 collection. The popular Indian denim brand specializes in a variety of casual and formal garments, including trousers, blazers, corduroys and T-shirts.
 
Mr. Saumar Sharma, Business Head, Camaro Jeans, in an interview with Fibre2fashion, informed, “Product diversification was always on the cards and after the good response received from the introduction of women’s bottom wear last season, we are now targeting to enter the womenswear category in a full-fledged way.”
 
Talking about future retail expansions, he says, “Currently, we operate through 1250 Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs) pan India excluding North. From next summer, we have plans to open 5 to 6 Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) in North India.”
 
Further talking about the overall expansion in the country, Mr. Sharma avers, “We are a 21 years old brand. In the last 2 years, we have extended our operations to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.”
 
Speaking about Camaro’s fashion apparels, he says, “We are into basic and subtle fashion, which caters to people of all age groups, hence our product category is huge and we aim to offer garments at perfect prices.”
