UK apparel brand plans expansion in Indian market

Superdry, the UK clothing brand inspired by Japanese design and vintage American style, is planning to expand in Indian apparel market by opening more stores in cities such as New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad this year.
 
Speaking to fibre2fashion, Superdry representative said, “We are likely to open new stores in the major cities of India such as New Delhi, Gurgoan, Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad this year.”
 
“We already have two stores in Mumbai and one store in Pune,” the company representative informs.
 
According to the company, Superdry has gathered a strong following among the Indian youth and the iconic T-shirts of Superdry are becoming a must have wardrobe in the country.
 
The company has entered into an exclusive long-term franchise agreement with Reliance Brands Limited to launch the fashion brand in India and it offers shirts, jeans, sweaters, joggers, T-shirts, rugby shirts, polo shirts, bags, and accessories for both men and women. 
 
Internationally, Superdry has stores across the USA, Australia, Europe, South America and Asia.
