Olympic Team unveils HBC uniforms at XX Olympics, Italy

Department store Hudson's Bay Company informed that Canadian athletes took centre stage at the opening ceremonies of the XX Olympic Games in Torino, Italy.
The Canadian Olympic team was dressed in distinctive red and white parade uniforms from Hudson's Bay Company (Hbc), reflecting a “Heritage Modern” theme that inspired the full line for our Canadian athlete wear, and will be seen throughout the Games. The parade uniforms were kept secret until the event.
“These athletes are the pride of our nation,” said George Heller, President and CEO, Hudson's Bay Company.“Hbc designed these Canadian team uniforms to reflect the spirit of the athletes, and our great nation.”
The uniform for Canadian athletes included:
Inuit inspired coat: - Red and White with tri-colour maple leaf design that changes colour with movement - Waterproof shell, detachable liner, multiple liner pockets
Canada North sweater: - 100% cotton, elasticized ribbing - Red with white stripes under arms, from wrist to waist - Canada across chest
