Sears Marketplace offers effective solution to merchants

Sears Holdings has launched Fulfilled By Sears – a turnkey fulfillment service that offers pay-as-you-go pricing for businesses seeking a simple, cost-effective solution to manage storage, picking, packing and shipping of customer orders from Sears Marketplace and other places a merchant sells products.

"Fulfilled By Sears is a game-changer for sellers of any size seeking a way to grow income and sales without increasing associated costs like storage, shipping and personnel," said Imran Jooma, executive vice president and president, Marketing, Online and Financial Services, Sears Holdings.

"The introduction of solutions like Fulfilled By Sears and the double digit sales growth last year of our integrated online business show how Sears Holdings is leveraging its leading integrated retailing assets to benefit not only our SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS Members and customers, but also businesses who want to take advantage of this service."

Fulfilled By Sears merchants can market and sell to SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS Members who buy and spend more, and who recently exceeded 60 percent of Sears transactions and sales. Plus, Fulfilled By Sears merchants automatically earn a "SHOP YOUR WAY Guarantee" badge from Sears that lets Members know that they are shopping with a marketplace merchant that has demonstrated a superior level of customer service.

Sears Marketplace is a community for third-party merchants of any size to sell their products and reach millions of relevant customers on Sears.com. Sellers work with Sears to provide SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS Members and customers with endless aisles of popular products like electronics, lawn and garden equipment, home goods, toys and games, outdoor living items, fitness equipment, jewelry and tools. Sears Marketplace and Sears.com now offer more than 60 million products online.

With Fulfilled By Sears, sellers take advantage of Sears' status as one of the country's largest online mass merchants, with a sophisticated network of warehouses, distribution centers and online order fulfillment processes. Sellers pay a small fulfillment fee per item that is stored, picked, packed and shipped.

For items sold on Sears.com, sellers pay a commission per sale, with no incremental shipping charges, as these fees are included in the fulfillment costs. Now through May 31, Sears is waiving pick and pack fees for items sold on Sears.com, as well as storage fees. They are also offering a 50 percent rebate on inbound shipping costs. Sellers enjoy additional benefits like no minimum storage or shipping volume requirements and 24/7 customer service support for items sold on Sears.com.
