From the entrance, the bronze lighting gives the store of 600m2 a gentle, feminine and luxurious atmosphere.
The range of materials, which are of the highest quality, mix and match throughout the space, with rough and refined, matte and shiny surfaces: bronze, stone, velvet and leather.
The sumptuous curves of the stairs and walls evoke femininity and emphasize the vertical structure of the space: the walls are covered with plates of Roman travertine that cross and overlap to enhance the feeling of height and frame the monumental sculpture by Tony Cragg.
Here and there, panels in black and deep blue lacquer punctuate this verticality, with a nod to the signature FENDI “PEQUIN” motif.
The furniture includes a selection of iconic pieces of Gio’ Ponti, Gabriella Crespi and Hervé Van Der Straeten, among oth-ers. For the new boutique, Maria Pergay has designed special unique pieces including a folding screen, a precious woodinlay boiserie and a coffee table.
On the ground floor one will find an installation surrounding the Baguette, the iconic FENDI bag. Thirty thousand needles of bronze pierce the wall to display the different styles surrounded by a halo of light. These needles symbolize the nails used on FENDI’s fur tablets, which narrate the craftsmanship behind a fur piece.
Also on the ground floor, a space dedicated to made-to-order is enhanced by the luxurious woodwork wall of Maria Pergay made of steel and exotic wood species.
The made-to-order service allows the customization of different bags of the Selleria line and the Peekaboo bag, entirely handmade by master saddlers. This new Parisian space offers the most exclusive selection of skins, colors and finishes.
The first floor dedicates a space to FENDI’s excellence in fur, which is unique in the world and inspired by the one that once existed in Rome. The “Haute Fourrure” room invites clients to create their very own unique and exceptional fur pieces.
True to the spirit of the brand, the design of the new Parisian boutique is a harmonious dialogue between heritage and modernity.
