Texworld & ApparelSourcing close with 11% growth

Eastern and Central Europe, markets with flourishing expansion, also saw healthy growth with Romania (+20%), Serbia (+42%), Moldavia (+54%) and also Hungary with +30%. Turkey, the bridge between the East and the West, saw an increase of 8.8%. North Africa posted growth of over 11%.
 
A significant increase was observed for the countries of the Middle East, where there is strong purchasing power and/or good demand for fashion: Qatar (+266%), Jordan (+225%), Lebanon (+98%), the United Arab Emirates (+44%) and Kuwait with +21%.
 
The Americas registered an increase of 12%. After the success of Texworld USA, Americans (+4%) came to Paris to add some finishing touches to their collections and Canada has increased its attendance (+35%). Brazil reappeared with a healthy increase of +28% and burgeoning interest from Colombia was also noted.
 
The positioning of Texworld and ApparelSourcing Paris as pre-eminent platforms, where you can find the whole spectrum of qualities at fair prices, has been firmly established and contributed to these positive results.
 
Visitors, in particular designers and style agencies, appreciated Mash-Up, the trends for this noteworthy season and the very specialised selection of the samples presented. This new organisation of the forums and selection committees has allowed the forums to be perfected and to become even more informative. The inspired backdrops from Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, the artistic directors for the shows, instilled a creative energy.
