US Polo Assn launches Classic American style S/S14 line

U.S. POLO ASSN., the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), the governing body of the sport of polo in the U.S. since 1890, announces the launch of its Spring Summer 2014 collection.

This season, the brand incorporates subtle, fresh twists, while remaining true to its rich heritage. The new designs and color palettes create an updated take on Classic American Style, all the while including essential, sports-inspired must-haves.

The Inspiration Themes

The Mauna Kea Polo Club was established in the 1970s and is located on Hawaii’s Big Island. Members of the club have developed their own tradition for a festive and Hawaiian take on the game – island style! Brilliant blues of sky and ocean complemented by natural flora and fauna against rough volcanic rock, inspire the palette for this theme.

The collection includes a range of tees in bright, vibrant neons and completes the styles with colors such as bright coral, white, blue atoll, Irish green and more.

A Chukkeristhe name for time segments that make up every polo game. This theme reflects the very core of the brand’s design philosophy in this collection. Inspired by the spirit of the game and the players, its clothing features the most classic, authentic and popular items.

Invoking its American roots with a quintessential red, white, and blue palette, this season sees an added play with oranges, greens, blacks and ivories across styles in this line.

Bluegrass Polo Club is inspired by the horse capital of the world Kentucky, U.S.A. Taking its cue from the sun-kissed, sporting destination, this line is made for hard work, dedication, and team in the hues of this beautiful landscape terrain.

With minimalistic styling and tonal color blocking, different silhouettes and fabrics are defined in this story. It gently plays with pastels while focusing on tonal dressing that promises to leave one enjoying the cool, subdued side of summer.
