Speaking about the renewed contract, Philipp Kronen, managing partner of the German-based Igedo, says, “In signing this contract ahead of time and by committing ourselves to long-term collaboration, we have substantially revised the agreement compared with its 2007 version. It’s a powerful sign that should speak especially to our Russian customers, particularly against the background of their country’s tense economic situation.”
Antonio Gavazzeni, president of the Italian trade fair host EMI, also talked about the extended collaboration in a statement, “Our exhibitors see Russia and the commonwealth of independent states as being of major strategic significance because Italian brands and luxury goods are so popular there. The extension and further development of our engagement in this region are therefore a very logical consequence. It will strengthen our global partnership position for Italian fashion companies.”
After the upcoming 24th edition of CPM (starting from February 24 to 27, 2015) the next instalment will be held at Expocentre, Moscow from September 2 to 5, 2015. (PB)
