Sportswear maker Nike Inc announced the official opening of its Nike Factory Store at Grapevine Mills in Grapevine, Texas.
"Nike is proud to open our newest Factory Store at the Grapevine Mills Outlet mall. The center offers an excellent opportunity to present our brand. In return, we're able to create jobs and, through our community involvement, provide support to kids in the Grapevine area," said Ed Stair, Nike Factory Store GM.
To celebrate the grand opening, Nike awarded a $5,000 cash and product grant to the Boys and Girls Club -- Arlington Branch. The donation is a part of NikeGO, Nike's signature US community affairs initiative aimed at getting kids more physically active. Sarah Zink, VP of Development, attended the grand opening ceremony and accepted the donation on behalf of the club.
"We are very excited to receive this community grant for our Arlington Branch," Zink said. "The Boys & Girls Clubs have a strong relationship with Nike and share our vision of healthy, active children. We are honored to be a part of this grand opening and we look forward to many opportunities to partner together."
