Arvind Lifestyle Brands, a subsidiary of textiles major Arvind, has announced its plan to tie up with leading US brand The Children's Place (TCP) with an investment of Rs 100 crore, according to media reports.

The company's decision comes after taking into account the growing importance of the Rs 50,000 crore kidswear segment in the country and the company's efforts to take pole position in the segment.

TCP is a leading children's specialty retailer which supplies fashionable, high-quality merchandise at value prices. It has total revenues of $1.8 billion.

Arvind Lifestyle Brands plans to open around 32 to 40 outlets in the country within a five-year period across 15-20 towns.
