Hucke buys licence 'US Polo Assn.' from MCS Fashion

After thoroughly sounding out the market, MCS Fashion GmbH in Vienna - the general European licence holder of menswear, ladieswear and childrenswear for the lifestyle brand US Polo Assn. - has awarded the US Polo Assn. licence for Europe to clothing maker Hucke AG.

Hucke AG was chosen because of its substantial presence in the major European markets and because of its expertise in the menswear, ladieswear and childrenswear sectors.

Hucke has acquired a lifestyle brand that not only embodies 'American Sportswear', but also represents the US Polo Association - the governing body of all American and Canadian Polo clubs - which was established in 1890. The image, lifestyle and tradition of the polo sport makes US Polo Assn. the only authentic 'Polo brand' in the world.

Hucke will begin with lifestyle orientated designs 'Young & Trendy' and 'Casual' for Spring/Summer 2007 with deliveries starting from December.

Further licences may be awarded in the near future, particularly in the accessories market as well as shoes, glasses, watches and jewellery.

Hucke AG - The Group's principal activities are the production and distribution of clothing and textiles for men, women and children. It is represented world-wide and markets its products on the home and export market. Its product range is marketed under five segments: Hucke Woman, Frank Eden Woman, Men's Division, Kid's Divisionand Venice Beach.
