Statistics for May reveal that Vietnam's quota – controlled garment exports revenue to the US dropped sharply, especially concerning seasonal categories like bathing – costume.
Reportedly, bathing-suits' quota – using ratio declined to 0.62 percent per week in May 2006 from 3.9 percent during the first four months.
Besides, bathing – costume, downtrend was also seen in categories 341/641 (W&G shirts and blouses) that posted 3.51 percent drop as against 2.2 percent last year.
However, quota-using ratio of categories M&B knit shirts
(338), W&G knit shirts & blouses (339), skirts (342/642) represented stable growth, especially categories no.338/339 increasing at 2.5 percent, fulfilling 41.58 percent of entire 2006, and is likely to continue its positive rise untill the end of November.
