Aarvee is planning to produce home furnishing fabric and setting up a new plant near Ahmedabad for exporting to US.
Whereas Aarvee's denim dreams have just begun to fade, the company now gears for a second break - to produce and sell home furnishing fabric at low prices than actually manufactured in US.
According to Ashish Shah, Managing Director, Aarvee Denim, plans to produce 20,000 metres per day of home furnishings processing capacity to satisfy the US market.
Experts citing current market scenario say Indian companies have already cut prices of their home furnishing products as producers from Pakistan have been going strong globally.
However, citing that the export market can shrink suddenly and as most of the demand is from the overseas market, investing too much money into the segment may prove to be counterproductive, felt some entrepreneurs.
