Viettien Garment Company (Vitec) is focusing on production of high–class vest suits instead of jacket suit, to improve production value of its membership companies.

Vitec has installed a total of 16 technology lines to manufacture goods at its subsidiary companies, especially at Viet Thinh and Vimiky-Viet Tien, with a combined capacity of 150,000 goods per month.

According to Nguyen Dinh Truong, the company's Director, producing the vest suits require lower cost inputs compared with jacket suit, and also creates more profits for the company.

Vitec, one of leading garment companies in Vietnam, during the first six months of 2006 earned an industrial production value of VND468 billion, generating a total revenue of VND1.241 trillion with year–on–year rise of 25 percent.

During this period, exports turnover reached $113 million, up 41 percent over its target and five percent higher than same period 2005.
