Sleep-wear exports surge 55%

In the first five months of 2006, Vietnam's sleep-wear and night-suit exports recorded a jump of 55 percent over the same period 2005.
Of the importing markets, the US remains at the top accounting for 74 percent of entire exports turnover.
According to Custom Department of the US, there are four textile and apparel goods categories added in list of products nearing the end of export quota before 31 December, raising total number of categories to 13.
Preliminary statistics reveal that Vietnam stands at 11th position among all T-shirt exporting countries to the US.
