GenuOne, a provider of brand protection management solutions, participated in the Retail Industry Leaders Association's Loss Prevention, Auditing and Safety 2006 conference which was held in Orlando, Florida.
Stephen Polinsky, vice president of sales for GenuOne, co-presented with Rhett Asher, vice president, retail operations & loss prevention, RILA and Kevin McMenimen, president, RuMe Interactive Corporation at the break out session on "RILA InfoShare," on March 23, 2006 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. EST.
The joint presentation provided information on the impact of Internet monitoring, information systems and cross collaboration and communication among executives on the effectiveness of loss prevention efforts industry-wide.
GenuOne's GenuNET Auction monitoring service helps retailers and manufacturers proactively identify sellers offering top shrinkage products within auction sites. GenuNET's automated searching, robust filtering and customizable alert capabilities enable users to save time and respond more quickly and effectively to harmful activity.
The session covered practical tips for integrating an auction monitoring solution to proactively identify sellers offering stolen product within auction sites.
"Theft and other illegal activities are an enormous financial drain on the retail industry," said Stephen Polinsky, vice president of sales, GenuOne. "Although this has always been a problem, the Internet provides an easy wayfor criminals to move vast amounts of stolen products with minimal oversight. The combination of InfoShare and GenuOne's GenuNET Auction module make great components of a loss prevention program for retailers."
