While presenting you with the second edition of India Retail Forum (IRF), I feel honoured to be designated as the Chairman of this magnum opus of India retail.

IRF this year is surely set to emerge as one of the largest retail & shopping centre congregations in Asia, with corporate heads and principals of the retail & shopping centre businesses converging from across the globe to discuss growth strategies for India.

The 2006 edition of IRF gains special significance as it will also hold the annual conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), India.

The theme of IRF 2006 is 'Empowering Indian Retail with Global Best Practices'.

The Indian retail markets are full of opportunities opportunities for growth, opportunities for market share, opportunities for diversification.
