AEPC holds workshop on higher productivity in Mumbai

The workshop covered the spectrum of the benefits, which may be accrued through “Line Balancing”. In his address Mr. Thomas dwelled on the aspects like setting up the balance before starting the process of making the garment, working out an operation sequence, calculating the number of machines, establishing the guides and folders required, giving mechanics the time for getting ready in advance and balancing the line when the order is running.
The workshop organized by AEPC in association with Mr. Roger Thomas will certainly benefit the industry players and now it look forwards to various other workshops which dwells on various facets of productivity enhancement, thus making industry far more competitive.
Praising this effort of AEPC, Mr. Das, Addll. Textile Commissioner said, “ Such workshops help manufacturers in a big way as individually manufacturers find it difficult to access consultants like Mr. Roger Thomas. With AEPC organizing such workshops, they are immensely benefited.”
Addressing the delegates, Mr. NBR Nathan, Advisor, AEPC said, “There is an urgent need to increase the competitiveness in the industry. Therefore we at AEPC are paying lot of emphasis on Research, Development and Training of the manpower.”
