Aeropostale Inc, a mall-based specialty retailer of casual and active apparel for young women and men, announced that total net sales for the five-week period ended September 30, 2006 increased 21.9 percent to $127.1 million, compared to $104.3 million for the five-week period ended October 1, 2005.
The company's comparable store sales increased 8.5 percent for the month, versus a comparable store sales decrease of 4.2 percent in the year ago period.
Fiscal year to date, total net sales have increased 17.8 percent to $807.2 million, compared to $685.2 million in the year-ago period.
Fiscal year to date, comparable store sales increased 1.4 percent, versus a comparable store sales increase of 0.2 percent in the year-ago period.
