Apparel producer Madura Garments is foraying into the Rs3,000 crore footwear industry in the country with a shoe brand for each clothing label made by it.
Company President Hemchandra Jaberi stated that it considers this entry as a further step in providing consumers with wide range of dressing solutions.
He also said these footwear brands will be maintaining the same standard as their clothing brands.
Madura will release the footwear brands for its complete clothing range by the same name and prices will be fixed as per the range. It has partnered with Sierra Industrial Enterprises to produce and market the footwear of its apparel brands including Peter England, Louis Phillipe, Allen Solly and Van Heusen nationwide.
Jaberi said Sierra has been assigned to promote the brands and their footwear in the country by using various media and promotional activities.
