From January to September 2006, Vietnam's export of gloves recorded a strong growth in both terms of volume and value by 66 percent and 68 percent respectively, as the country shipped 33 million pairs for $20.1 million, sources from Ministry of Trade (MOT) said.
Although there was remarkable growth in exports of all the countries, list was topped by traditional markets like Japan, EU, US and Taiwan.
Japan stood top in the list of all importers of the goods in this period, as Japan poured $6.9 million to import 13.1 million pairs from Vietnam led to 79 percent and 51 percent increase in value and volume respectively.
Exports to US earned the maximum price level of $1 per pair on average, followed by EU of $0.55 per pair and $0.53 per pair by Japan.
