After a disappointing previous year, for the first time signs of improvement are seen in export figures of Turkey's apparel industry.
Exports of apparel registered a hike of 26 percent in November 2006 with increase of one percent in yearly export of apparel.
According to Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters' Association (ITKIB), on November 25, exports reached $1.102 billion and exports for the year reached $12,438 billion.
Insignificant change in value of US dollar and focus of Turkish companies on exporting brands played vital role for the boost on the sector.
