Jiangsu Wuxi to revive cloth wharf

Not long ago, in the Xishan Economic Development Zone in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, a world-class super-large modern textile, garment and leather professional wholesale market over million square meters, Oriental International Textile City Market has emerged quietly. This is a 'world cloth wharf' dedicatedly created by Xishan District,Wuxi City.

Known as the National Textile City, Wuxi has more than 6,000 textile enterprises. Early in the last century, the name of 'cloth wharf' was renowned in the country. In 2005, the City's textile industry achieved an output value of 100 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 20 percent of the city's industrial economy.

More than 600 well-known people from across the country work together for the reviving Wuxi 'cloth wharf'.
