With a leading retailers coming to India, Tesco also joins the bandwagon to step up its sourcing of textiles and clothing goods from India. Along side, footwear, leather products, accessories, stainless steel items, metal work, woodwork, kitchenware items and pottery products.
The company official informed that the items like household textiles like bedding and towels are at present in great demand.
Tesco's sourcing from India reached more than $70 million in non-food products segment, which also consists one million pairs of shorts from Bangalore and 4.3 million vests and T-shirts from Tirupur.
