Industry & Commerce Bureau announces quality monitoring results

Recently, Industry and Commerce Bureau of Guangzhou city declared results of quality monitoring for detecting carcinogenic substances in casual wear of domestic and foreign brands. Passing rate was kept 46 percent.
Sources informed that if garments sold in the market are found to be defective, manufacturers of formal clothing have to sterilize them after processing. But certain small manufacturers refrain from testing to avoid expenditure.
Some apparel and dyeing enterprises of Guangzhou submit their cloth samples to Government departments for inspection.
It is ensured through testing that pH value does not exceed set standards and the cloth does not have any negative impact on human body.
