JCB ropes in F-1driver Narain to launch its first clothing line

Premier construction machinery and tools manufacturer, JCB India unveils its plans to venture into the apparels business with introducing its first-ever clothing collection. This clothing collection is endorsed by India's no. 1 driver of Formula-1 racing, Narain Karthikeyan.
JCB India Managing Director and CEO, Mr Onkar Singh Sunar informed that it is a part of making a mark of brand, and the company is very seriously anticipating to its apparel business.
Sunar added that the new clothing line will feature sporty casuals and would be made available in 80 cities with more than 400 outlets by the end current financial year. It's price range from Rs 399 onwards.
The company has plan to sale off its clothing line through established outlets. However, there are no plans to set-up company-owned retail outlets, he said.
In the beginning, it would concentrate on apparel business, but later on it intends to launch branded shoes and accessories, said Sunar.
The agreement with Narain Karthikeyan, covers entire range of the company's products, including the newly launched apparel line.
JCB would source its apparels from Switcher Quality Textiles India, which would also be marketing for the company. It also intends to export apparels overseas.
