Shishi clothing export rockets in Q1

In the first 4 months of current year, clothing export from Shishi increased by US $50.63 million with a rise of 40.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

Export value of leisure suits increased by 56 percent, coats by 52.8 percent, trousers saw a rise of 48.4 percent, skirts by 52.5 percent and leather clothing by 200 percent.

Mentioning reasons behind such boost in exports, experts analyze that after Government announced to decrease export rebate on clothing by 2 percent, many manufacturers rushed their orders before the issuance of law. Local clothing enterprises have also developed some new markets in Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The export quantity to Malaysia has increased by about 170 percent and in countries like Panama, Brazil, Chile has also been enlarged. Clothing industry has also improved their product quality to come up to the mark of international level.
