G&K Services Inc, a market leader in branded identity apparel programs and facility services announced the acquisition of the outstanding stock of Leef Brothers Inc (Leef Services), a leading uniform and facility services company serving customers in the Upper Midwest.

"We're extremely pleased to expand our market leading position in the Upper Midwest with the acquisition of Leef," said Richard Marcantonio, G&K's chairman and chief executive officer. "Leef has been a long-standing successful competitor in our marketplace with an excellent reputation for providing outstanding customer service. We welcome Leef's employees and customers to G&K."

Leef was founded in 1908 and was the largest local independent provider in the Upper Midwest market. The acquisition will add approximately $20.0 million of annual revenue to G&K Services.

"The acquisition of Leef is a great example of how we're executing our strategy to acquire solid businesses that strengthen our market position and increase the utilization of our existing operations," added Marcantonio.

"Leef's long-term success complements our own rich history, further strengthening our ability to enhance the image and safety needs of our customers. We'll continue to focus on acquiring quality businesses that leverage our North American footprint and enhance our capabilities."
