Cabela's Inc ranked among top 5 in providing customer care

Cabela's Incorporated the World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, announced that a recent reader survey in the October 2007 Consumer Reports ranks Cabela's branded credit card, Cabela's CLUB Visa, among the Top 5 in cardholder satisfaction, the highest rating held by a bank issued credit card.
The Consumer Reports National Research Center survey polled nearly 37,000 Consumer Reports readers on their satisfaction as credit-card holders. Cabela's CLUB Visa ranked number four in overall satisfaction, scoring 88 out of a possible 100 points.
Readers said they were very satisfied with their Cabela's CLUB Visa and gave Cabela's high marks in both the interest-rate and bill-timing categories.
Cabela's ranked ahead of retailers Nordstrom and Target, as well as many other well-known bank-owned credit cards, including American Express, Discover and Citibank. Consumer Reports also noted Cabela's "long history of superior customer service."
"Cabela's is known for its legendary customer service, so it should be no surprise Cabela's CLUB Visa members are very satisfied with their card," said Joe Friebe, CEO of World's Foremost Bank, Cabela's wholly owned subsidiary and issuer of Cabela's CLUB Visa.
"Some credit card companies today have a somewhat negative reputation, but not Cabela's. We live out Cabela's Core Values by being fair and making it easy for customers to earn free Cabela's merchandise to feed their passion. They get value from the program and as a result, have a sense of belonging to something special."
Established in 1995, the Cabela's CLUB Visa is a rewards card program designed to increase brand loyalty among Cabela's customers, allowing cardholders to earn points whenever and wherever they use their credit card.
Points can be redeemed for Cabela's products and services available through the company's direct business and destination retail stores.
