DuPont Russia recently participated in the closing ceremony of the 39th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICO) in Moscow. Co-sponsored by DuPont, the event was organized by the M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), one the oldest and most renowned universities in Russia.
ICO is an international contest where 260 young scientists from more than 65 countries compete in several areas of natural science. The competition was launched at the DuPont Russia Customer Interaction Center in Moscow in March.
"As a science company with 205 years of innovation, DuPont pays special attention to scientific events like ICO. We strongly support and encourage excellence in science education throughout the world," said Timofei Mezheritsky, manager, DuPont Human Resources, Eastern Europe.
Timofei presented a safety kit that included DuPont products such as DuPont Tyvek and DuPont Kevlar protective apparel to Leonid Romashov, the captain of the Russian team, and offered him the opportunity to intern at DuPont.
