Recently released statistical data from Ministry of Industry and Textile show that in the period from January to October this year, Vietnam earned US $44.5 million from exports of sports wear to EU market, posting 30 percent rise against similar period last year.
In this period, the EU maintained itself at the top of the importers list for the country which has the biggest demand for the made–in–Vietnam sports wear.
Among all the sports gear, exports of shorts witnessed strong growth in both volume and value as Vietnam exported 44.5 million of the same worth $15.7 million, giving year–on–year growth of 232 and 239 percent, respectively.
