Harris Tweed resurrects, directing its first order to Russia

Harris Tweed Hebrides are celebrating the revival of Harris Tweed mill at Shawbost which is back into production after a long time. It has been announced that the first order to be produced by the mill will be sent to Russia.
A fitting send-off will be given to the order by top Russian model Margarita Dobroskokina. The order will be sent to Moscow-based Glosab, which is known as a manufacturing and retailing giant for men and women wear apparel.
Glosab has an annual sales of over $100 million and will be utilizing the fabric send by Harris Tweed Hebrides for its products which are sold throughout its 37 widespread retail stores.
According to experts, this order is an extremely important milestone for Harris Tweed industry and already a large number of orders are flowing in from all round the world.
An official from the company stated that since there is a demand for high quality, hand-crafted products, they are optimistic about receiving good response from Russia which may emerge as a significant market for exports made by the firm.
