This release gives first quarter 2008 results for Brazilian premium apparel retail company Le Lis Blanc (Le Lis Blanc Deux Comercio e Confeccao de Roupas S.A.) Bovespa ticker LLIS3.

Unless indicated, financial and operational information is by the Brazilian Corporate Law accounting method, in thousands of Reais (R$ '000), and comparisons are between first quarter 2008 (1Q08) and first quarter 2007 (1Q07).

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Eight company store openings in 60 days from March 7 to May 6.
- Infrastructure and personnel investments setting stage for company store growth plan
- Gross revenue: R$ 57.1mm, up 31.8% year-on-year (vs. R$ 43.3mm in 1Q07).
- Same-stores gross sales: up 18.5% year-on-year.
- Mature stores net sales/m: up 10.1% year-on-year, at R$ 9,225m, vs. R$ 8,382/m in 1Q07.
- Gross profit: up 34.7% year-on-year, at R$ 24.4mm, vs. R$ 18.1mm in 1Q07. Gross margin: 60.8% in 1Q08, up from 58.9% in 1Q07.
- Adjusted EBITDA: up 26.0% year-on-year, at R$ 7.0mm, vs. R$ 5.5mm in 1Q07.
- Adjusted net income excluding amortization of goodwill tax credit (cash earnings) up 16.7% year-on-year, at R$ 4.0mm in 1Q08, vs. R$ 3.5mm in 1Q07.
