Gander Mountain adds 13th Wisconsin store

May '08
Gander Mountain will open its newest store at 6440 Skully Drive in Eau Claire on May 20.

The 65,000 square foot store is built in the new larger format similar to other stores recently opened by Gander Mountain. The format allows the Eau Claire Gander Mountain store to carry a broad selection of products for the outdoors enthusiast.

Customers will have access to thousands of firearms, equipment for hunting, fishing, and archery, apparel and footwear, camping equipment, and gifts.

Canoes and kayaks will be displayed inside and outside of the Gander Mountain store. The store offers a range of services including: an on-site gunsmith, an archery lane and full-service archery shop, line winding, and a staff of associates with a wealth of knowledge about the outdoor products they provide.

The store also features a "Gander Mountain Lodge", a meeting room provided free of charge for meetings of local outdoor groups. During the year Gander Mountain provides educational courses for outdoor enthusiasts in the Lodge and offers more hunter safety programs through its lodges than any other retailer in the United States.

The grand opening of the Eau Claire Gander Mountain store will begin on May 30 and will feature in-store specials, a limited number of free promotional items for "first shoppers" and appearances by outdoors celebrities.
