The Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Industry of Fiji has been increasing the awareness about its capabilities through its new website 'Make it in Fiji'.
The website has been launched, in order to encourage potential buyers, to make Fiji, their preferred source of supply, informed Mr. Kalpesh Solanki, President of TCF Council of Fiji and Owner of Ranjit Garments.
To connect existing as well as prospective customers with the best that industry has to offer, is the key purpose of designing this website, said Mr. Solanki.
Presently, there are opportunities to excel for the savvy manufacturers in Fiji, who are facing challenges and the suppliers should be able to produce orders of smaller quantity and deliver them within minimum period of time, he added by saying.
The website concluded a three-year industry development program, which had been funded by the Australian government. The TCF industry has excellent capabilities across the variety of its product categories.
Fiji has developed expertise in stitching of uniforms for the corporate, industrial, safety, sportswear and schools, said Mr. Solanki.
