Provogue India Ltd, an apparel retailer intends to open 50 more retail stores, in coming two years, by investing Rs. 200-250 million, as the average investment per shop is about 4-5 million rupees, said Deputy Managing Director Mr. Salil Chaturvedi in the sidelines of a promotional event.
The apparel retailer, has opened six stores in last 20 days will open its new stores in towns and cities across all classes, he informed. It is looking to broaden its horizon into Indian hinterland and intends to venture overseas in coming 12-18 months, added Mr. Chaturvedi.
The brand which has Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as its Brand Ambassador, had postponed its plans of expansions in Singapore, Thailand and Dubai until September, on account of economic downturn.
Prozone Enterprises, Provogue's unlisted real estate arm, a joint venture with Liberty International Plc, would open its first shopping centre in May next year in Aurangabad, and expand it to Coimbatore, Nagpur, Indore and Jaipur.
