Bureau Veritas starts UK-nightwear flammability testing at Tirupur

Bureau Veritas Consumer Product Services started testing UK Nightwear flammability at Tirupur location under standard BS EN 14878:2007/ BS EN ISO 1103: 2005 / BS EN ISO 6941:2003 / BS 5722:1984.
“Nightwear can burn rapidly when accidentally set alight by contact with an open fire or a gas or electric fire or other heat source, and cause serious injury - children and the elderly being especially vulnerable. In consequence, various mandatory and voluntary measures have been taken to control the fire performance of the fabrics used in nightwear and to make the public more aware of the dangers”, states Mr. Kunwar Venkteshwar Singh, Product Manager, Bureau Veritas India.
The UK Legislation “The Nightwear (Safety) Regulations” enacted since 1985 applies to Nightwear as defined in Clause 3 of the Regulation. W.E.F 1 March 1987, In UK it has been an offence to supply/offer to supply/agree to supply/expose for supply/ possess for supply Nightwear that does not meet the requirements of the legislation. So, to assure quality of you product within reduced time span, BVCPS is going to start the UK Nightwear Flammability test in Tirupur location under standard BS EN 14878:2007/ BS EN ISO 1103: 2005 / BS EN ISO 6941:2003 / BS 5722:1984.
