According to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro, the imports from Turkiye increased by 5.83 per cent from the inbound shipment of $965.251 million in January-August 2023. Turkiye’s share was 11.14 per cent in Poland’s total apparel imports of $8.667 billion during the period last year.
In 2023, Turkiye’s contribution was 11.91 per cent in Poland’s total apparel imports of $13.673 billion. The imports from Turkiye were valued at $1.628 billion.
Poland’s imports from the partner nation have seen consistent growth in the last several years. The imports grew 61.11 per cent to $803.847 million in year 2020 year-on-year. It further jumped 51.19 per cent to $1.215 billion in 2021. The inbound shipment inched up 3.89 per cent to $1.262 billion in 2021 and further increased by 28.97 per cent to $1.628 billion in 2022, as per TexPro.
Poland also imported fabric of $75.389 million from Turkiye in January-August 2024, which was 9.71 per cent of its total fabric imports of $776.126 million in the period. Turkiye was the third largest supplier in the inbound trade. The imports were noted at $89.373 million in the same period of the last year. The country had imported fabric of $126.795 million from Turkiye in 2023, when its fabric imports totalled $1,220.634 million.
