Activewear company Rhone will launch GoldFusion, a new technology that infuses gold particles into the brand's fabrics for a softer, safer, faster drying and odour neutralising activewear garment in Spring 2017. Rhone developed the GoldFusion technology and in the process, came up with a technology, which wicks moisture faster and keeps clothes fresher longer.

According to the company, a GoldFusion shirt dries up to three times faster than tested market leaders, resulting in precision moisture transfer off the body, while the technology also improves on its current anti-odour technology by incorporating odour-neutralising particles.

“After 100 washes or four times the average life of a garment, these anti-odour particles are still 99 per cent effective,” Rhone said.

GoldFusion also provides UV protection and improved colour fastness, ensuring that the fabric will not fade over time and is infused directly onto the garment to reduce any waste or material loss and is virtually a zero emission process. (AR)
