Indian fashion retailer Shoppers Stop plans to double its mobile application downloads to 2 million and 15 per cent of sales by 2020. To achieve this goal, the retailer is following a four pronged strategy of growing its business by focusing on innovation, leveraging technology, enhancing the customer experience and offering a wider assortment.

This was revealed by Shoppers Stop managing director Govind Shrikhande to reporters, by also adding that their mobile application, launched six months back, currently has over 9 lakh downloads.

Presently Shoppers Stop provides 60 per cent of its products online, which it targets to increase to 85 per cent in the next eight months.

He also informed that the retailer will continue to open 4-5 stores per year for the next few years. (AR)
