Woolrich merges with Europe licensee to form new company

America's oldest outdoor clothing company Woolrich Inc and Woolrich Europe, an Italian licensee of the trademark for Europe and Asia, will merge in to a new holding company, Woolrich International. Woolrich International will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the Woolrich brand, both in the North American market and worldwide.
Woolrich International will be headquartered in London and will have a global workforce of 300 people. The new company anticipates an annual average growth of 12 per cent between 2017 and 2020 and in the process reach an annual turnover of $300 million by 2020.
Woolrich Europe is owned by W.P. Lavori based in Italy and evolved from being a distributor of Woolrich in Italy, to becoming an official licensee to design, produce and distribute Woolrich products across Europe and Asia. (AR)
