A recent meeting of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade presided over by provincial minister for industries and trade Mian Aslam Iqbal decided to accelerate the pace of work of the project of Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park, being set up on more than 1,500 acres 40 km from Lahore. A technical education and training centre will also be established at the park.
Iqbal directed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for the development of Bahawalpur Industrial Zone and present it at the earliest, according to Pakistani media reports. (DS)
