Zalando setting up two more warehouses in France & Poland

After starting a new satellite warehouse in Stradella, Italy, European online fashion retailer Zalando, with around 19 million customers in 15 European markets, is planning to open more sites in France and Poland.

The first of these two fulfillment centres will be put into operation next year in Paris, which will ensure that customers in and around the French capital, receive their goods faster.

The online fashion retailer will also start construction of its new international fulfillment centre in Poland this month.

The new properties will be built on around 130,000 square metres of space and offer jobs to more than 1,000 employees and will supply to all 15 European markets serviced by Zalando.

Zalando started to expand its international logistics network in December 2015 by opening the satellite warehouse in the north of Italy.

“This way, Italian customers are able to receive their orders up to one and a half days faster, while 60 per cent of all Italian orders are already being processed from here,” Zalando said. (AR)
